Obsessed With ♥

I've always wanted this blog to be a little more than make-up. Don't get me wrong; I love make-up! Oh my God so much so, but there is so much more to life than that, right? There is so much to me as well and I would like this blog to reflect that a little.

I think I can honestly say this has been the one thing that I have been most obsessed with this week. I'd heard about The Hunger Games before but I never gave it much thought. Why? There was always so much hype about the Twilight series, and to me that series was a little disappointing. I thought The Hunger Games would be the same. I decided to give it a try when my cousin (who I'm always mentioning in my posts) told me it was nothing like the Twilight series. I bought the book a couple of days before I saw the movie. I read the first one in a DAY (just goes to show how I'd been starving for a good book). I bought the other two books and read each in a day as well. I LOVED them ALL! I highly recommend it to all those who still haven't read them.

No movie can ever do justice to a book (in my opinion) but I think for once they did a good job with The Hunger Games movie. It was really good.
Have you seen the movie or read the books? Are you Team Peeta (like me) or Team Gale?

Next on my reading list is

I'm a Jane Austen addict (Pride & Prejudice and Persuasion being two of my favourite books-ever!) and this was calling out to me.

I'm on a self imposed coke ban. It's one of my addictions and *sigh* it's about time I let it go.

I can totally relate to this cartoon *sigh*

I've started this again, because it's time I did some shedding (if you know what I mean).

To straight or not to straight, that is the question. I bought Wellastrate a couple of days ago and I still haven't decided if I should straighten my hair or not. I have a love/hate relationship with my curls, I'm not sure If I want to go the straight way though. What do you guys think? Should I stick with my waves/curls or should I straighten my hair?

A little too much.

Two songs that I've been listening to on repeat. I love Matt Bomer on the White Collar and I was so excited to see this clip. They did such an amazing job on the song!!!!

I dream  of such a day, do you?

I would love to know what you've been obsessed with these last couple of days.

I've always wanted this blog to be a little more than make-up. Don't get me wrong; I love make-up! Oh my God so much so, but there is so much more to life than that, right? There is so much to me as well and I would like this blog to reflect that a little.

A few years ago I discovered a new genre (Philosophy&Spirituality) of writers/thinkers and books. Trust me, once I start with this topic I usually never stop, because it gets me really excited. So I will try to keep it as simple as possible. Paulo Coelho, is one of those writers that I love.

His first book I ever read was 'By the river of Piedra I sat down and wept'. I didn't like it at all! When I read the Alchemist (it is SO inspirational), Paulo Coelho instantly catapulted in to my top ten list. Now I want to get my hands on Brida. I was in Espresso the other day and the blurb on the back really caught my attention. I can't wait to get my hands on it. Brida is number one on my reading list at the moment.

So this month I'm trying to 'diet' (which basically means no junk food). This drink however is my weakness. For me Espresso's Frozen Cappuccino is happiness in a cup. My friend Sara and I are addicted to it. Whenever either of us is depressed we go to Espresso and drown our selves in it. Same goes for when we're happy. Haha! We just need an excuse.

Have you tried it yet?

One of my favourites songs these last two weeks has been Jennifer Lopez's Pappi. I think I like the video even more than the song itself.

Favourite lol moment:

My cousin Nooria shared this video with me a few weeks ago. It is SO funny! The next time some one bugs you on the streets, you know what to do.

Favourite quotes at the moment
Carrie Bradhaw (Sex and the City)

'What you believe has more power than what you dream or wish or hope for. You become what you believe.'- Oprah

What are you loving/obsessed with at the moment? What defines you this week?

Obsessed With ♥

This is what I've been obsessing over this past week

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is one of my favourite books of all times. I've read it about a million times and I always find myself reaching for it when I'm out of good books to read.  Even though I love the entire series, this is obviously my favourite book from it.  I love sitting down and drowning myself in the world of Harry Potter. For me it never ever gets old. I fall in love with it every time.

This is one book don't think I'll ever get tired of reading.

Oh my goodness. Look at Lauren's legs, Diya's arms and Britney's toned body!!!! I want all this! I'm some one who can't diet if her life depended on it. No, I'm not a glutton by any means, I just can't starve myself. So I've been working out every day (I'm doing the '30 day shred'). It's something I love and hate doing at the same time! It's going to be worth it if I can look half as good as that :)!!! Don't you think?

This one of my favourite songs!!! This week I sort of fell in love with it all over again. Listen to it and you'll know why <3 <3 <3!

What have you been obsessing over this past week?

Obsessed With ♥

This week I'm obsessed with two things! The first being the Jillian Michael's workout DVD 'The 30 Day Shred'. My cousin sent it to me a week or two before Eid and I've been working out ever since. The first two days I cursed Nooria (my cousin) because it is so hard and you're panting and sweating like crazy (yes, I know I didn't paint a very pretty picture there. Ha!Ha). Once my body got used to the strenuous workout I got addicted to it. I actually saw a change in my body within a week! No lie!

I still have three and half weeks to reach my goal but for once in my life I just love the thought of working out (Imagine that). This DVD ideal is for some one who wants to tone up/lose weight. It's tough but it's worth it.

The second thing I'm obsessed with is Rihanna's 'Cheers'. By obsessed I literally mean OBSESSED. Its on repeat on my ipod, cell phone and Itunes. It's on repeat when I'm working out. I adore the video and I'm in love with the song.

What are you obsessed with this week?

This is a product I rediscovered recently, and I can't believe I've ignored it for so long. I actually bought the scrub by mistake because it looks exactly like one of Zoya's creams. The hand and foot scrub is now one of my favourites products from Zoya. It's a creamy scrub with Apricots grains and oil. I use it every other day, even though on the back it says the scrub is gentle enough to be used every day. It honestly makes the hands and feet extremely soft and super clean, you can actually feel and see the difference. It has a fruity scent which lingers on the skin for a while, which I don't mind because I like fruity scents.

What I love about it is that it doesn't make my skin dry at all. Also, now I don't feel conscious of my feet when I wear flip flops. Yay!

It's designed for:

Dry hands and feet with dead skin cells
Rough heels
Dark ankles and knuckles

The scrub is inexpensive (RS185), and delivers everything it claims to. Even though I'm not a fan of the packaging, this small  tube has lasted me for two months. For the price it's definitely worth a try.

PS. Zoya 'The Herbal Workshop' is available at all leading stores nationwide.
