Review: Benefit Bella Bamba

Even though I'm a self confessed blushaholic, and I hoard blushes as if they're running out of style, I have a very limited range of colours that makes my heart skip a beat at times. I usually stay in the pink-peach colour palette. Yes, I'm not very adventurous when it comes to the colour of my cheeks.

When Benefit Bella Bamba came out, I was bombarded with all the YouTube videos that claimed it was one of Benefit's best blushes. Now when they put it like that, how could I resist?

The Good

When you open the lid of the boxed blush, the most amazing sweet/fruity scent wafers through. If that's not enough to captivate your attention, then the bright watermelon pink pop of colour surely will. Simply put, It's gorgeous!! Bella Bamba has a generous amount of golden shimmer in it, which I love. I'm someone who loves shimmer/glitter in her blushes.

I was on the fence when I decided to buy this blush because my friend actually bought it for me from the US. I'm so glad I decided to buy this because it has quickly become one of my favourite blushes. I've worn it on on some of the hottest and most humid days Lahore has experienced this year, and it has lasted for hours, which is quite a feat for any blush, because make-up usually just slides off during such a weather. The first time I tried it, I went out with my friends and Aroosa kept asking me which blush I had on.

It is marketed as a 3D powder. On the box it says 'the triple dimension of pink...brightening, sculpting and defining'. I usually don't contour my face but when I do, I do it the with a bronzer (Benefit 10). That's just the way I prefer.

Despite an almost excess of disco glitter, it’s also packed with pigment. Just a dab of it on the cheeks is more than enough. Bella Bamba’s rich color should wear well on lots of different skin tones. There is no second guessing with this one.

The Bad

The only thing I dislike about the blush is the price. It retails for 28$, which is obviously a little expensive. However, considering how little you actually need to get a good amount of colour on your cheeks, this will last you forever!

Sadly, It's not available in Pakistan.

Final Thoughts

Huge rave for Bella Bamba!!!! I was extremely pleased with it! If you’re a fan of NARS Orgasm you’ll absolutely love this as this feels like a beefed up version of that shade with way more pop, sizzle, and pigment! Even sparkle-shy girls will love this if they apply it with a light hand.

You may not like it if you don't like spending too much on your make-up. That is the only downside in my opinion.

You can buy it online Benefit ships worldwide. Buy it here Benefitcosmetics.com.

Which is your favourite Benefit Boxed Powder?

Benish: Benish sadly it is a little on the pricey side. Took me a while to save up for it. Haha I know what you mean about glittery/shimmery blushes being a no no- its one of the beauty crimes I commit.
