Barely There Islamabad Haul: Afghani Earrings

I went to Nathiagali with my family last week for a few days. I had full intentions to do a little shopping, but I didn't end up buying anything. However, on the way back to Lahore we did stop at Islamabad for a bit. My sister always makes us stop at one of her favourite book stores whenever we're in Islamabad, and while she was in the book store I found an Afghani jewellery seller near by.

View from Nathiagali

I love Afghani jewellery because it has a vintage feel to it! I always find myself rushing towards Afghani jewellery sellers when I'm in Islamabad. These are the earrings that I bought this time. I was in a rush so I didn't have time to bargain, but as soon as put them against my ears I instantly fell in love with them.

These earrings are a little heavy, but I don't mind that at all. They are a similar to Pakistani/Indian traditional chandelier earrings but with an Afghani flair to them, don't you think? I think these type of earrings look great with any outfit, casual or formal.

The earrings are silver and have tiny golden balls hanging at the bottom.

Are you fond of this type of jewellery?

This Parody Epitomizes Our Load Shedding Headache In All It's Glory!

Just as I started writing this post, the light went out! Perfect!

This song is a hilarious parody of Coke Studio's Alif Allah. It actually epitomizes everything a Pakistani goes through during loadshedding! Despite everything going on in this country, our sense of humour helps us make the best of every situation :).

Hasn't the guy done a great job with the lyrics?

You never know, you could be singing this the next time the light goes.

Smelling Funky? Don't Sweat It!

I dread summers in Lahore! Why? First of all its unbearably hot and secondly the loadshedding makes it ten times worse. The one thing I always try to stock up on is a patkari, also known as alum stone and crystal deodorant. This stone can easily be found in Lahore or any other part of the world. My cousin and I swear by this. You can use this anywhere on your body and I guarantee that you'll stay odourless all day.

I've used this before going to the gym or going for a walk, and I've never had a problem of smelling sweaty. I just rub it once or twice in my arm pits, and I'm good to go. Obviously nothing transfers on your skin because it's just a stone, but for some reason it controls body odour in the best way possible. When I'm going out I spray my favourite perfume after using the patkari, and it helps make the scent last longer.

Patkari/Alum stone crystal deodorants are composed of potassium alum. It is a natural crystal, potassium alum is totally unprocessed and is free from synthetic ammonium. These stones are natural and have been used as deodorants for ages. The Body Shop have an entire line of roll on deodorant made of crushed patkari.

What you can do is crush the alum stone and mix it with rose water and store the mixture in an empty roll on deodorant bottle. Why spend extra at The Body Shop when you can make the same thing at home? If you don't want to go through the extra trouble, just store the stone in a dry place and use it when required.

These stones are safe both for the skin and environment. These non-toxic and hypoallergenic stones can be applied to anywhere on the body and are multi functional. Patkari is free from chemicals, perfumes and preservatives.

Lahore is extremely, extremely hot at the moment and its a relief knowing that I don't have to be concious of B.O all the time!

New Music: Selena Gomez & The Scene- I Love You Like A Love Song

I didn't think much of this song when I first heard, but it's grown on me and I can't get it out of my head. Selena Gomez is one of the few Disney stars I actually like. Even though I'm very choosey when it comes to her music, this particular song has my vote.

What do you think of the video? Its cute and age appropriate for an eighteen year old, right?

Tired of Work? - Try Yoga and Have a Relaxing Break! ♥

Yes! yoga it is, a perfect way to have a refreshing mind and balanced body! It is my life saver particularly during the summers when I am too stressed out because of my stupid routine, work, work and work! You really do need a break sometimes!

With all this frustration building up inside me, yoga becomes a refuge! I've been working on Shilpa Shetty's yoga instructions for two years now. I decided to give yoga a try when I really wanted to lose some weight and having tried on dieting, walk, exercise, gyming, I really think yoga is the best amongst all these! It is such a refreshing booster to your existing physical and mental state.

I remember when my sister came up to me and was like, your skin has actually started glowing, is it because of this yoga you do? - I looked soo fresh and full of life. Needless to say, I had this energy inside me while earlier, I remember the lethargic feeling I'd experience every day! *pheww*

This to share with all of you who are so busy with their stupid work routine and still want to have some sort of exercise, dont wait and try Shilpa Shetty Yoga DVD. It's easily available in the markets and YouTube is the best way to download the classes in parts. Believe me, its the bestestest way to have a toned body and refreshing mind! I have now convinced Sana to be my yoga partner and yes, we are going to do yoga regularly to detox our mind and body! ;)

Dont forget: Mind, body and soul form the essence of life and yoga helps you have a wonderful approach towards these! Happy Yoga to All!!! :))

Review: Maybelline Dream Mousse Highlighter ♥

It had been soooo long that I was looking for a good highlighter in Pakistan but my search literally seemed to have no end! It was soo frustrating. Every time I went and asked a makeup counter if they had a good highlighter with a subtle glow, but even though, I was always shown a wide variety of highlighters, they all seemed so thick and cakey! But then, Sana being my life saver that she always is, told me to give Maybelline Dream Mousse Shimmer in the shade 01 Porcelain a try! She wore it once in front of me and since I already adore her wonderful skin, I fell in love with her suggestion!

I have a wedding in the family coming up in a week or so and the wedding fever is already in full swing, so I went and bought the dream mousse highlighter. I was soo glad when my mom was like, why are your cheeks glowing today! See, I told you, water helps! Hahahaha! I then revealed my beauty secret! Just as the name, it gives such a pearl-like, porcelain effect to your cheeks and being my first time, I applied it to my cheeks only, I believe it can be applied where ever the light naturally hits the face (cheeks, nose, chin, forehead, and cupids bow).

The highlighter is a sheer pink with shimmer in it, and has lilac undertones which gives the skin a subtle glow. One of the best things about this highlighter is that it's long lasting. This particular shade is for light to medium skin tones, there are a variety of shades to choose from.

It's light and blends into the skin perfectly! I LOVE it! It cost me Rs. 840 which makes it like almost $10. That's quite reasonable and sooo worth it! Thank you Sana!!! :))

It's not available at Maybelline counters in Pakistan (it is available at Maybelline counters in other parts of the world). I bought it from Al-Noor, it's the plaza behind the liberty outlet of Warda. Sana bought hers from Liberty as well. She bought the highlighter from Chanel (yes, that's the name of the shop) a shop right under Enem.

Pakistani Style: Uth Oye! Hoodie

I'm sorry for the lack of posts, but I'm in Nathiagali (a hill station ) with my family and the internet here sucks. The weather is amazing though, and I'm dreading going back to Lahore tomorrow. In honour of this trip my youngest sister ordered a hoodie from Uth Oye!, which I thought I'd show you guys.

Isn't it cute? Tanya has been wearing it non-stop, because she knows she won't get a chance to wear it in Lahore any time soon. She's been raving about the quality as well! I've been told that its super soft and cosy-my sister is very particular about her new things. She prefers that they be looked at and not touched. :p

Uth Oye!'s service is amazing! She ordered it online and they called her the same day asked her for details for delivery purposes. My favourite part of their online service is that you don't a credit card to order anything from the site, you can pay on delivery!(only in Pakistan)

Their hoodie's are available on their facebook page at the moment, and you can order it from there.

Uth Oye! delivers to seven countries. You can check out their website here

New Music: Britney Spears 'I Wanna Go'

Britney's video for her new single, 'I wanna go' has been released. She looks almost like her old self again, doesn't she? The story line involves mocking the media/paparazzi. The opening bit is priceless!

Aishwarya Rai Is Pregnant!

The former Miss World is expecting her first baby! Wow, a Rai-Bachan baby-finally! The Indian media is going to go wild with this news. Guess who broke the news to the world (no, it wasn't ZOOM TV)!? The excited grandfather-to-be Amitabh Bachan broke the news via Twitter, telling the world: "I am going to become a grandfather! Aishwarya is expecting! So happy and thrilled!"

Pippa Middleton, Airport Chic!

Pippa Middleton was pictured at London's Gatwick Airport. She returned home from Scotland where she took part in the Highland Cross Duathlon over the weekend.

After writing so many posts about her, I know my Pippa style facts. Does this outfit look familiar to you? It should because shes worn this layered ensemble back in April, the only difference is the jeans and the bag. Pippa, tends to sticks to her favourites!

On My Wish List: Oh, Lola! By Marc Jacobs

\

Marc Jacobs is releasing a new version of his highly successful Lola scent. The new one is called Oh,Lola! I love the name, the bottle and the face of the add campaign, Dakota Fanning.

Oh Lola! fragrance is designed to refresh the upcoming hot summer days, described as "lively, playful, irresistible, stylish and cheerful. " It's supposed to have a "more fruity concoction, with top notes of sparkling raspberry, pear and frais de bois, a floral heart of peony, magnolia and cyclamen and a warm, subtle base of vanilla, sandalwood and tonka bean."

Doesn't it sound lovely? *sigh* I'd be more than happy if I got my hands on it's little bottle. A girl can dream, right? I have no idea when it'll be available in Pakistan.:(

Is this something you'd like in your collection?

Review: NARS Angelika Blush

The NARS Angelika is one of the most treasured make-up items in my collection. First of all, its NARS and secondly the colour is gorgeous! This blush was my first ever NARS purchase and words can't describe how excited I was when I got it.

One of my best friends, Sara S, lives in America and she sends me all the lovely things that aren't available in Pakistan. This particular blush is one of those lovely things. It took us ages to decide between Angelika and Orgasm. Guess who won? Yes, Angelika!

It's a gorgeous blue-toned baby doll pink with silver specks of glitter. The silver glitter is what I love most about it. Don't be alarmed if glitter isn't your thing, it doesn't seem to be noticeable on the skin, because it seems like the glitter disappears between the brush to the cheek! Even though it looks like a pretty baby pink blush in the pan, don't let it fool you, it's super pigmented. You have to apply it with a light hand because other wise, you'll just end up looking like a china doll -which has happened to me the first few times.:) The color blends out easily even if you overdo it, though this is a shade that you can’t go too overboard with. It's suitable for all skin tones, but it's ideal for those with a lighter skin tone.

The rubbery packaging is like all NARS blushes, which I like, but the one minus is that the rubbery package gets dirty pretty quickly. You'd have to store it in it's original cardboard package to avoid this. I don't mind the rubbery packaging because its strong and protects the product inside. I also have NARS Orgasm and it's slipped from my hand so many times ( :( ) and surprisingly it's still in one piece.

NARS is a high end brand so the prices also are in the higher end. I paid 27$ for it and I personally think it was worth of every penny. If you, like me, love girly, pretty, cool, cotton candy pink on your cheeks you will love this. This is the perfect pink for a girl to have in her makeup bag (or a basket in my case).

I've looked EVERYWHERE for NARS in Lahore and I can't find it anywhere. However there are countless copies/fakes available at Roop Singhar and Enem. You can buy NARS products from their website or Sephora

Any idea if NARS is available in Lahore?

Nicole Richie: Britney Dance Off

A few years ago I would never have thought I'd be saying this, but here it goes, I ♥ Nicole Richie! Yes, I do! She's the perfect example of how one can always turn their life around. I love her clothing and jewellery line and her boho chic style ♥! I came across this video online, which only proves that on top of everything else, she's also an amazing dancer!

Looks like Nicole is really excited for Britney's Femme Fatale tour – because she tweeted out a ‘Britney dance-off’ video to her followers today. In the video that you can watch below Nicole and a friend show off their ‘Slave 4 U’ dance moves. She said;

Video Tutorial: Lauren Conrad's Signature Ballerina Bun

I started noticing the rise (haha!) of the ballerina bun when Lauren Conrad started styling her hair like this (obviously). After that I've noticed a lot of celebrities styling their hair in a ballerina bun.

The ballerina bun is such a cute look for so many reasons. It’s classic, it’s quick, it can make you look taller, and you can wear it with almost anything! The ballerina bun can be worn high up on the top of your head or down lower near the back of your neck. Either way, our favorite ”go-to-do” for anyone with collar bone length hair or longer.

• Tools: 1″ barrell curling iron, clear elastic or pony tail holder, smoothing + updo brush, 4-6 large bobby pins, firm holding hairspray.
• Using a 1 inch curling iron quickly curl all of your hair under.
• Flip hair over and gather into a high ponytail securing with an elastic or ponytail holder.
• Using your smoothing brush, back comb (lightly tease) hair. (This will help the bun look more voluminous!)
• Twist hair and wrap around the base to create your bun shape.
• Insert bobby pins along the base of the bun, securing it to your head.
• Spray all over with a firm holding hairspray and smooth down fly-aways.
Quick Tip: Shake your head side to side to make sure it’s really secure before you  finish

Nail Polish Of The Day: Essence Colour In Ultimate Pink ♥

Essence Colour: Ultimate Pink

I was at Al-Fatah the other day and to my delight they had a new make-up counter/brand on display. It's called essence and it's really cheap. I bought this nail polish for RS200!Yes!Essence has the prettiest yellows, pinks and purples. A lilac one got my eye, but I ended up buying the pink one instead. I know I have a lot of pinks, but a girl can never have enough pink nail polishes in her collection.

Hot Trend Alert: Feather Earrings And Feather Hair Extentions

This post should have been written a month ago, I'm sorry I'm just very lazy, ask Aroosa:).

The boho trend that’s shaping up to be a real influence on summer 2011 style has quietly made itself known through the slow but steady increase in crocheted duds, maxi dresses, and hippie-inspired cuts and patterns, both on the runway and off. One of my favourite accessories that has been inspired  by this trend are the feather earrings.

Everyone is obsessed with feather earrings and hair extensions in a big way. All the celebrities have been trying to in-cooperate this trend in to their every day style (Demi Lavato tends to over do it a little), and all the YouTube Beauty Guru's can't stop raving about this trend either.

There's the enchanting appeal of feather earrings gracing your ears. It’s not that feathers were never popular before, because they were, but now they’re brighter, bigger, and more decorative than ever! The reason why I love this trend is, because its very boho chic. If you're feeling feathery, the time is now

Stars like Vanessa Hudgens have also been spotted wearing it on one ear like Lucy Hale

Don't try to do over do it though: (she's wearing feather earrings and huge chunky hair extensions at the same time)

This is what the feather hair extensions look like. They're available in a variety of colours at Sephora. Fleur (the one in the picture below) bought hers from here. In her video she said that these hair extensions can be used with straighteners and curling irons as well.

(One of my favourite YouTube Gurus )
Feather hair extensions

I'm not sure if feather hair extensions are available in Lahore, but you can get your hands on the earrings at Accessorize. I bought my earrings from Accessorize for RS.800, which I think is quite a bargain. They had a few other colours to choose from like black, black and white and grey. I really wanted the grey ones because they were SO pretty, but my friend Sara kept talking me out of buying them and I ended up buying the blue ones instead.

I love the blue feather earrings because they add the perfect pop of colour to an otherwise boring outfit.

My earrings

The ones I wanted

Are you going to try this trend or will you let this one pass?

Summer Reading: The Mortal Instruments Series

The first three books

The Mortal Instruments series is a must read for all those who love magic, myths and classic love stories. This series is highly addictive, and incredibly fun to read.  If you like the Twilight series (which I'm not a big fan of) you're going to LOVE this one. The Mortal Instrument books are far more believable and they suck you in to the world of make believe where shadow hunters, vampires, fairies and warlocks come to life. It's an epic tale between good and evil and how can we forget the main ingredient-true love?

I love watching Supernatural and most of the books I read are filled with myths and legends, this was right up my alley. My younger sister Tanya, got these books and when she started reading them she wouldn't stop talking about Jace. Yes, remember the name! Once you start reading the name you'll probably find yourself falling in love with his charms and witty sense of humour as well. Not only will you fall in love with Jace, you'll find yourself changing favourites with every twist and turn in the book. That rarely happens, doesn't it?

I am in awe of Clare, the author. She has created a world where not only magic but countless myths and legends exist, and she makes you believe in all of it. There isn't a single moment in the book in which you roll your eyes. Clare's epic tale pops out of its pages and entices the reader to keep going.

The author has dipped her pen in the deep resources of fairy lore and epic tales, and what is obvious is how well crafted each characters is. They are well rounded, three dimensional characters and of all them are created with acute detail which makes them highly relate able. The plot is tight, twisting, and full of surprises. City of Bones is the first of a series—The Mortal Instruments—and it promises great things to come.

This series is that ever-so-rare rare creature these days—well-crafted young adult fiction where at least all of the teenagers (and really really old warlocks and various other creatures) are both likable and believable. Despite their magical and supernatural existence all the characters problems or issues are universal-which makes the very humane.

Before the first novel reaches its ending point, Clary (the protagonist) will get used to sexy teen-aged boys covered in tattoos (ruins), really cool flying motorcycles powered by things best not thought about, awesomely cool weapons, werewolves who are allies in the Shadowhunters' war, vampires who most decidedly are not friendly, flirtations with being in love, self discovery, lessons about the dangers of finding out what you didn't know, and much more. It this a fast-paced novel? Yes, indeed. With each book in the series, the story line and plot just keeps getting better and better. There are moments in the books where you want to laugh out loud at the witty humour and bite your lips in anticipation as the plot keeps thickening.

Clare, has created two worlds with ease and brilliance, our world and the magical one, she's done justice to both. While reading the books you will have a one foot in the real world and the other in the one that is filled with magic. This series will have you hooked and make you believe in magic all over again. Its a perfect summer read, that can go on all summer long (there are four books in the series).

Happy reading!

Are you guys in to these type of books? Do you think you're curious enough to at least read the first book?

PS. The Mortal Instruments are available at Readings, in Lahore.

Fathers Day Cards at Zazzle

Wohoo, our much awaited Happy Fathers Day is about to arrive and as our mothers keep reminding us that fathers turn out to be best friends for their daughters, we truly didn’t want to miss the opportunity to share some amazing tips so you too can make this year’s Fathers Day a memorable one!

I remember when I was around 5 and really wanted a Walkman (iPods didn’t even exist then! *roll eyes*) and grew so cranky about it that I went on hunger strike! Literally, yes! The entire picture comes back to my mind when I was in tears and he came up to me and said, ‘Oh my baby is crying, see what I got for you’, saying this he took out the walkman which he was trying to hide and gave it to me with that BIG BEAR HUG!

There have been endless moments in life when I saw my dad try his best just to see that twinkle in my eyes! Today, when I have an identity of my own, I still don’t feel I’d exist if I didn’t had his surname and most importantly that shelter, love and secuirty by my side! I am sure every daughter out there feels the same, so let’s stop being emotional about it and get ALL SET to make the most of this upcoming special day!

Gifts, clothing to gadgets, can be easily bought from the market and there is nothing what you may call, less in variety! Come on, you got to think a bit differently! Homemade? – Yes, this is what I have been working on!

Remember the time when you were only a child and would make cards especially for your parents’ to admire how creative you were! Make a card! It still possesses as high a value as any other product. Show your adorable daddy your creativity at this age, trust me, you will experience endless amount of emotions oozing from within!

Not to forget, the cake! It is sooo easy to bake a cake! My dad has a sweet tooth and can never resist sweets! I am gonna make a chocolate cake and get some whipped cream to make it all the more tempting! ;)

Yes, I am getting a proper gift as well because dad is always happy like a kid when I give him something I've worked hard for! He always seems so proud and excited! I really cant miss the chance seeing that sparkle in his eyes this year again! I am so tired of seeing his watch that I am now getting a new one! (He loves wearing watches!) Any suggestions of a good brand?

Explore your dad’s wardrobe? Is it a tie that he would want or an alarm clock? A cigar or a simple flower? (now that rhymed! J) Would a shirt make him smile or is a gadget on this things-to-get list! Get going guys! We’re always so busy to let emotions rush in our lives. These are days when you can make that special person feel the most loved person in your life!

Reminisce all your childhood memories and make the most of Fathers Day! As I sign off, I wish all the fathers out there “Happy Fathers Day” (it's coming this Sunday) as it is only because of them that we stand proud and confident of who we are today! For those, who don’t have their fathers beside them, remember, he has his eyes on you and is still holding your hand!

Happy Fathers Day again! Enjoy! J

New Music: Lady Gaga- Edge Of Glory

Don't even get me started on what I think of Lady Gaga's last single, Judas. Edge of glory is a great song though and the video isn't too outlandish either. Maybe Lady Gaga thought the only way left to shock people is to make a relatively normal video without aliens and birth scenes.

What do you think of her latest single?

Feeling Bloated? Here's A Quick Cure!

We all hate the feeling of being bloated, don't we? When we feel puffy like cotton candy (ha!ha! At least hat's how I imagine it)? This usually happens when we eat something that doesn't suit us or when we're near 'that' time of month. Here's a quick cure to make all the puffiness go away.

Mix a tea spoon of soda by carbonate (soda by carb) in a glass of water (there's probably some laying around in your house. It's often used in making pakora's). Stir it well, and drink it up! Trust me, it does wonders. You can actually feel the puffiness puffing away. Soda by carb also helps curing constipation and gassiness.

I bloat/get super puffy near 'that' time of the month and this is a life saver for me!My face swells up too, and water + a tea spoon of soda by carbonate starts working within minutes to reduce all that. Don't worry about the taste, its tolerable! Once you get used to it, you won't even notice the taste.
Is this something you go through as well?

(This doesn't make you lose weight, it just helps the swelling in the body go down)

The Perfect Antidote For Load Shedding Blues: 'White Collar'

I hate having to wait a few months till all my favourite TV shows return for another season. I was so relieved when Pretty Little Liars returned last week-finally I had something to watch. Yesterday I stumbled upon a new series in a moment of boredom (load shedding blues anyone?). The series itself isn't new, its third season just started this month, but it's new for me.

Official synopsis:

White Collar revolves around the unlikely partnership of a con artist and an FBI agent who have been playing cat and mouse for years. Neal Caffrey, a charming criminal mastermind, is finally caught by his nemesis,  Peter Burke. When Neal escapes from a maximum-security prison to find his long-lost love, Peter nabs him once again. Rather than returning to jail for his daring getaway, Neal suggests an alternate plan: he'll provide his expertise to assist the Feds in catching other notorious and elusive criminals. Initially wary, Peter quickly finds that Neal provides insight and intuition that cannot be found on the right side of the law.

I watched one episode and I was hooked.  Neal Caffrey has the looks and the bad boy charm which makes for a quirky but cute partnership with the no-nonsense FBI agent Peter Burke.White Collar is perfect for all those who love their Dean Winchesters and Damon Salvatores.

Its perfect for killing time during the dreaded load shedding hours. Do you watch your favourite TV show during load shedding? Do you already watch White Collar, if not is this something you'd be interested in?

Pakistani Style: I Heart Generation

Yesterday my sister and I went to Generation because she wanted to see their new summer collection. I had made up my mind that I wasn't going to buy anything-and then I fell in love. Nowadays it's so hard to find something at Generation that you instantly fall in love with. I feel that I have to thoroughly browse through all the clothes and even then I don't find something I really want.

What drew me to this suit were the different coloured buttons and the flowers! This was the last one in my size and I'm so happy that I bought it!

I tried it on and it looks SO good! It's so summery<3

The only downside is that its a slightly short shirt (comes right below my knees). It comes with a green churidaar and a green duppata!

It's available in white as well, which looks just as good.

Pottermore= More Harry Potter?

Aaaaaaaaaah! What can it possibly mean?
J.K. Rowling just started a brand new website called ‘PotterMore‘ and it looks like we might be seeing more of Harry Potter. Oh, I hope so! I'm crossing my fingers! There are hardly any details, looks like the author is purposely being mysterious.
I've read all the books from the Harry Potter series so many times! My favourite is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow, which I LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you excited for Pottermore?

Summer Beauty 2011: Surfer Girl Hair/Beachy Waves

Bohemian wave, beachy waves, kinky waves, hippie waves. Call them whatever you want. But, this is the look that shows up time in and time out on the red carpet, runway, and my head all year round. It’s easy and pretty if done correctly.
One of the trendiest styles for this summer is the surfer hair/beachy waves.I have wavy/curly hair (my hair it seems has issues and can't make up its mind between the two) and for years I used to straighten it every day, which resulted in damaged hair. That's when I became the boss of my unruly hair and learnt how to do the beachy waves.

It's super easy and it doesn't take much time at all. This is what you should do:

- shampoo and condition as normal
- towel dry when you get out of the shower
- shake hair to unlock the wave pattern. comb with hair with fingers.
- brush hair when it's still wet and then no more brushing
- apply a curl enhancer, and then scrunch it
(lately I've been using Toni&Guy beachy hair spray and it works wonders. All I do is spritz it all over and scrunch it once or twice, depending on how curly I want my hair to be.)
(if you don't know what scrunching is, its taking section of your hair and crumpling it like piece of paper. You hold the hair together tightly for a few seconds)
- Scrunch the hair two or three times to get good volume and texture
- let it air dry
When I'm feeling lazy I just braid my hair for a bit, after applying a curl enhancer.
me

For people with straight hair:
-brush your hair when its still wet
- apply a curl enhancer in your hair
-braid your hair tightly for 15-20 minutes (when its still wet)
-open the braid and scrunch the sections of your hair once or twice
- spritz  hair with hair spray for a better hold
-let your hair air dry (and if you poker straight hair spritz hair with hair spray again)

* Quick tip: If you don't have a curl enhancer gel laying around and you want to try out this look, you can take a pinch of sea salt add bit of water to it, rub it between your fingers and scrunch your hair with it.

The next day when your cruls/waves are not pronounced as the day before you can always tie your bangs like Amanda Seyfried .
Happy Scrunching! <3
Sana
PS. Is this something you're going to try out? Let us know:)
